Stade’s Farm and Market

Last Sunday, I took my family to Stade’s Farm and Market in McHenry, IL. This place is huge, and has so much to offer.

You can pick-your-own fruits and vegetables (depending on the season) or buy fresh produce and baked goods from the market (open daily trough December 23, 2017.)

Every year for “Shades of Autumn” Fall Festival, Stade’s opens a Farmtractions Theme Park. Farmtractions is open on weekends only (Saturday-Sunday in September, plus Friday-Sunday and Columbus Day in October) and has over 30 different attractions for the whole family to enjoy. We have spend a few hours there, and haven’t done everything.

Slide Mountain was a hit, as well as Jumping Pillow, Pedal Cars and Zip-line. They had fun playing in a Corn Play Area, riding a Barrel Train and looking for exit in the Corn Maze. My son had to seat on all of the tractors, and my daughter was excited to try a Rope Climbing Hill.

Stade’s Farm other attractions include Cattle Truck Maze, Petting Zoo, Veggie Cars, Hamster Run and much more.

If you haven’t seen a Pumpkin Cannon in action, I have a short video for you.

Also, if you love old cars, there are some that belong to Vern Stade.

That’s not all of the fun you can have. Stade’s Farm let you take a hayride to pick your own pumpkin off the vine!

All of the attractions, except Apple Cannons($5/10 shots) and Stade’s Farm Express Train($3 per person) are included in the admission.
