Touch-A-Truck is a great family event for all ages. Children can climb, sit, and explore a variety of cars, trucks and large equipment. Make sure to bring your camera/phone to capture all the fun at those FREE Touch a Truck events in the Chicago’s Northwest Suburbs in 2017!

10:00 am – 1:00 pm
See trucks and other vehicles up close and even sit in the driver’s seat! Some of the vehicles may include a fire truck, police car, school bus, dump truck, and many more. Bring your camera for lots of photos. Goody bags will be handed out to the first 1,000 people. Vendors will be at the event for participants to visit.
Parking will be available at Community Center, 250 E. Wood Street, Palatine.

11:00 am – 2:00 pm
Forget the toy trucks – here, children can get a close up look at the real things! Climb aboard many super-sized vehicles in a safe, protected environment. Food, raffles, kiddie train rides, DJ, and other fun and entertainment will be on hand at this family fundraiser sponsored by the Kohl Children’s Museum’s Women’s Board. Note: Event will be held at NIPSTA at 2300 Patriot Boulevard, just north of the Museum. Tickets required.

Contests, raffles, crafts and a mass kite launch highlight the annual Statewide Kite Fly and Touch-A-Truck events 10 a.m. to noon, May 20 at Springfield Park.
Touch-A-Truck features a variety of trucks and vehicles to climb, sit and play on. Parental supervision is required.

Touch A Truck will take place in the South Parking Lot; which is located behind the Huntley REC Center. This is a FREE event. No registration is necessary. Lots of giveaways!

Each year, the Village of Hanover Park sponsors a Touch-a-Truck event. The Police Department, Fire Department, and Public Works shine up their vehiclesso attendees can touch the hoods, hear the engines and see the inside of the cars and trucks that make our community run! There is no cost to attend this event.

The children get to climb, sit and explore a variety of cars and trucks.
New: We will have a quiet hour from 12:30-1:30 pm. Horns and sirens will be silenced during this time.

to spend quality time with your children sharing a fun-filled family day. Inspect the equipment and meet the men and women who operate the big rigs.

This is a FREE family event, and there will be various food trucks on site with food and dessert available for purchase. All children under the age of 16 should be accompanied by an adult. No registration is required.

We park dozens of “Big Trucks” in the parking lot at Ron Beese Park and then open them up for children to climb in and explore! Fire engines, garbage trucks, village vehicles, tow trucks and more will be on hand to help your children have fun while learning about each truck, watching demonstrations, and climbing behind the wheel. Compete in big wheel races, ride the trackless train and have fun on the inflatable.

This free family event allows you to explore, discover, and climb on various construction, park district, and public works trucks including big rigs, fire engines, bulldozers and more.
