Come join us at the Carousel and Jumps n’ Jiggles to visit with Santa. Children will be able to make a craft, ride the Carousel and play in Jumps n’ Jiggles. Santa will be at the Carousel from 11-1pm.

Cruise the lights and sights of Old Town Park’s Festival of Lights on an old-fashioned carriage ride. Rides are FREE and seat a maximum of two adults and four children.

Registrations are available online. Carriage Rides are located under special events. Register one family member to reserve a spot for the whole family. One reservation per family. Times are approximate.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive on a horse-drawn carriage Dec. 9 and 16 at 3 pm. They will be greeting children in a new location – the lobby of The Hampton Inn and Suites until 5:30 pm.

The Pavilion Aquatics Center will transform into the North Pole for a day your family will not soon forget! Swimming, Holiday games & prizes, Tie-Dye snowflake swim T-shirt Station.
(Child fee includes snowflake swim t-shirt and prize bag. Adult must register with child).

 It’s Christmas Eve and River Rose wants to stay up all night to hand-deliver a note to Santa, but she and her dog fall asleep only to find they’ve been swept off on another magical adventure. Activities to follow.

Join us at the Bensenville Theater to watch the classic Christmas film, It’s A Wonderful Life. Enjoy one of the most beloved of all Christmas movies on the big screen during this special event.

After George Bailey (James Stewart) wishes he had never been born, an angel (Henry Travers) is sent to earth to make George’s wish come true. George starts to realize how many lives he has changed and impacted, and how they would be different if he was never there.

  • SOUTH BARRINGTON, THE ARBORETUM – Arboretum on Ice – November 11, 2017 – January 15, 2018.

Skate on 7,200 square foot real ice rink with your friends and family. Admission: $12 with skate rental or $8 without skate rental, $8 for children under 3.  Website

  • MOUNT PROSPECT, Ice Arena – November 22, 2017- March 4, 2018.

The rink is located in the “small triangle,” along Northwest Highway between Elmhurst Road/Rte. 83 and Busse Avenue. Hours of operation are: weekdays from 4-10 p.m. and weekends from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Public and open skating cost $5 per person and skate rentals available for $8. Website

  • CHICAGO, MILLENNIUM PARK – Ice Skating, November 17, 2017 – March 4, 2018 (weather permitting).

Experience one of the city’s finest winter traditions. Check the website for daily hours of operation. Admission is FREE with free skating lessons Friday through Sunday, one hour before the rink opens. Skate rentals available for $12.

  • ROSEMONT – Ice Skating at MB Financial Park, November 24, 2017 – February 2018

It’s winter fun for the whole family! Ice Skating is a FREE event. Skate rentals are available for $8. Tickets are sold on site at the box office.  Cash & credit cards accepted. Website

Donations are greatly appreciated.

  • MOUNT PROSPECT, RANDHURST VILLAGE – The Magical Animated Holiday Light ShowDecember 9-16, 2017

From Dec. 9 through Dec. 16, Randhurst Village will present a magical light projection show every night at Center Court. The show will be projected onto a portion of the Hampton Hotel building, bringing it to life with a customized 3-D projection featuring elves, icicles, snow and other holiday images, all set to dramatic holiday music.

The light show will run every half hour from 6 to 8 pm Saturday and 6:30 to 8 pm Sunday through Friday. Those Funny Little People Holiday Elves will introduce the Light Show on Saturday, Dec. 9 and 16, with performances at 5:30 pm. Local community choirs will perform from 4:30 – 5:30 in Center Court on Dec. 9.
